Yael Yael, the Australian who lives in New York City, played Lorna in Orange Is the New Black. Yael has a degree from NIDA. Yael despite her young age, has had the chance to study with one of Australia's best storytellers. Yael is a well-known actress in Australia. A continuing collaboration with Australia's much-lauded director Neil Armfield culminated in the internationally-renowned production Diary of a Madman, in which she starred opposite Academy- Emmy- and Tony Award-winning actor Geoffrey Rush. Yael was pleased to have found her new home after the Brooklyn Academy of Music, in which the play was staged with great acclaim, moved to the place she now calls New York City. Yael is co-founder of The Cannery.
